The NQCC is pleased to announce the launch of the Quantum Computing Access Programme, starting with a call for expressions of interest from the UK academic community.
The programme provides access to assured quantum compute services to grow the UK’s quantum computing user community, to accelerate scientific research, innovation, skills development and applications discovery.
The programme is part of the NQCC’s ‘SparQ’ initiative in support of UK quantum readiness.
Users may request access to a range of state-of-the art quantum computing platforms from leading technology providers. The programme seeks to remove access barriers and support multi-platform exploration and development.
Dedicated streams will open for specific user groups, facilitating cloud access to quantum computing resources detailed in the table below. Access will initially be provided to successful applicants on a three-month basis.
Users from the UK academic community are now invited to complete a short expression of interest (EOI) form for access to quantum computing resources in Q1 2025. Submission of an EOI is a precursor to an invitation to submit a proposal and will allow the NQCC to confirm demand and align resources for the first cohort of users.
